Description:
Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle in .38-55 W.C.F.
This Winchester 1894 Rifle made in 1900 is chambered in 38-55 WCF and has a full octagonal barrel with standard walnut stocks steel crescent butt plate. It has a Lyman #21 Peep rear sight, a vintage filler block where the barrel sight was, and a blade front sight.
Condition:
The overall condition of this Winchester 1894 rifle is fine exhibiting much of the original finish. There is general wear and some spotting typical of rifles of this age. The legends are clear and strong and the screw heads are in great, not messed with, shape. The rifle is equipped with the Lyman #21 Peep sight (Climin Lyman) and a blade front sight which are great sights to use enabling quick access to target. The bore is generally bright with strong rifling and some slight oxidation. The 38-55 WCF is one of the original chambering’s offered in the 1894 model and some prefer it to the more common 30-30 WCF. This is a great, practical rifle at a good price ready to be put back to work on the farm or out in the woods hunting.
