Colt Mustang Semi Auto 380 Auto Series 80
This is a Colt Mustang chambered in 380ACP in blue steel and black anodized aluminum. It has a 2 3/4″ barrel is a single-action semi-automatic and a detachable 6 round magazine. It has fixed blade front sight and a notch-style dovetail rear sight. It has black checkered grips with Colt medallions. The markings on the pistol are “Colt MK IV / Series 80 Mustang 380 Auto with Rampant Colt logo and with the serial number on the frame on the left slide. On the right slide and frame marked with “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG CO. HARTFORD CT USA”. Included is the factory box serialized to the gun, two factory magazines, manual and paperwork.
Condition:
This Colts Mustang was manufactured in 1987 and is in near new condition overall. The bore is bright and excellent bore with some scattered streaking. The metal surfaces of this MK IV / Series 80 pistol rate near excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. The checkered synthetic grip panels rate very good plus and is equipped with fixed sights. Both factory magazines are also in excellent condition. The factory cardboard box is in fine shape with some edge wear from storage. The Styrofoam insert is in good condition with some dirt and wear inside where the pistol sits. It appears this pistol was used light since overall it exhibits very little use. These are excellent carry pistols with the time tested features of the 1911 coupled with its small size. Could easily be carried in a pocket holster
